Thank you, Mr. Schenck...

I would like to commend Robert Schenck, candidate for the Florida House, for his statements in yesterday's Hernando Times concerning the disparaging remarks by the Hogans in reference to Muslins. Mr. Schenck emphatically stated, " The Hogan's views do not represent Republicans in this county. Obviously, they have a First Amendment right to free speech and we certainly have a right to disagree with them." Thank you, Mr. Schenck, for expressing the viewpoint that many of us have been at a loss for words to express.

Mr. Schenck's one and only concern is to be elected and to appear to be politically correct this close to the election, he does not want to anger all those muslims that have contributed to his campaign. If you and he would watch the Fox News Channel program Obsession: The Threat of Radical Islam you both might be looking over your shoulder instead of jumping on the band wagon of "political correctness." The bottom line is tax payer dollars were used for the benefit of a religion, for the "first time" in county history and instead of being outraged over that, you and those like you that are "at a loss for words" choose to condemn someone for invoking their First Amendment Right of Free Speech, and that should be more important than being politically correct.

Had Mrs. Hogan directly addressed the use of taxpayer dollars for a religious event, without attacking the Islamic religion, this outrage would not have occurred here, and statewide. Yes, the Hogans have their fundamental right of free speech but others have the same right to respectfully disagree with their position.

I'd love to hear what one of Schencks most avid supports would have to say about that ... a certain "doc to the commissioners" and very much a Hogan -like thinker...

"A Loss for Words" NOT YOU COVELL, THATS ONE THING THAT YOU ARE NEVER AT A LOSS FOR,And I am a die hard beliver in freedom of speech, However, You should do your homework before you speak, you repeat things that simply are not true, your sometimes well wriiten responses and opionions have no weight due to the inaccuracy and lack of due diligence on your part. You are a dangerous person. I have been reading your accounts and opionions.Try quality and not quality, How would you like this in reverse? Are you the same Covell from the Electrical Contracting Company in Brooksville? I hope you can appriciate what I am saying. Please Stop.

That sounds like a personal threat to me. Why don't you try using your spell check...your negative messages would be much easier to understand.
